Dansk Mode (Danish Fashion)

European fashion is always inspiring to the American customer. When we think about European fashion we think; UK, France and Italy. But, how about Scandinavian fashion?

Danish fashion is rising; designers are creating a mix of Scandinavian design aesthetic with an edge.

After living in Denmark for almost a year, I started to notice the choice of style women go for; the layered look. Throw on a pair of boots with a scarf and your ready to go out with grace and elegance.

The famous Strøget also known as the pedestrian shopping street carries all designer brands like Gucci, Burberry and Louis Vuitton. The city is vibrant yet modern but with a history that exists with all the latest trends in fashion, design and architecture.

Denmark is known for going green, so biking is highly recommended. Of course you need to dress the part if your biking (no its not knee pads and elbow pads) tights, skirt and your best heels!

Danish designers have started out selling in their own shops but are now tapping into the international level.
Designers like Bruuns Bazaar, WoodWood and Malene Birger are looking to branch out.

Do you like the Danish style? Keep an eye out for these famous Danes to a store near you!
What do you think of the Scandinavian style?
